I haven't listened to too many RADWIMPS tracks outside the OST of Kimi No Na Wa, so I don't know if this is just a common thread in all of RADWIMPS' music, but I think what defines the sound of this movie is the suspended 2 chord. It's shaped by the root, the next diatonic step, and the fifth of the scale.
